About Kaulike Counseling

Aloha! It’s All About Relationships! It’s All About Ohana!!! Kaulike Counseling is new to Oahu, but not new to helping individuals, couples, and families. I also have extensive experience in helping our Veterans cope with their traumas. The help you will find here is based on helping relationships in crisis for the past 25 years with court-ordered & private clients, and now military members and their families. My mission is to help each person understand the pieces of their puzzle, to heal from past trauma, and to create healthy family dynamics.

About Me

Aloha…My wife and I have been married since 1989. We’ve learned to navigate the ups & downs of marriage, family and life, which isn’t always easy. We have two adult children, one of whom is on Island with us. My wife and daughter are both honored to work in the medical field here in Honolulu at Queens Medical Center. I’ve built a comprehensive and unique understanding of human psychology and behaviors based on more than 30 years in the mental health field. I’ve helped adults with serious mental illness and intellectual disabilities to live and improve their functioning in life. The same can be said for those I’ve helped through outpatient counseling since 2003. Prior to relocating to Oahu, I helped court-ordered clients involved with the legal system due to family violence issues. There are answers to your questions AND we can find them together. Out of Pocket Counseling Fees are based on a sliding scale. Discounts will be determined by circumstances and frequency of services. These also apply for Out of Network services and are often reimbursed at 50% by your insurance company.

Individual sessions $75 – $125 per 1 hour session.

Couples sessions $100 – $150 per hour session.

Group counseling $35 – $50 per 1.5 hour session.

Individuals – Depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, relationships, anger management & family violence, parenting skills. Career decisions & executive coaching.

Couples – Pre-marital counseling, relationship conflict, communication skills, creating balance, co-parenting, and family dynamics.

Groups – Anger Management, Men’s Issues, Women’s Issues & Relationship Support Groups.

Employee / corporate training for Safety & Team Performance, Team Cohesion, Workplace Bullying, Improving Family Dynamics, Emotional Intelligence.

Schools & Youth Sports – Healthy relationships, bullying prevention, teen dating violence prevention. Importance of Acceptance & Inclusion!
